Yep. Sanders started with nothing in '16 and ran against an heiress and almost won this way. Most Americans hate political correctness, which they correctly see as a form of austerity. Running against austerity but for PC damages credibility by contradiction.

Same with the climate change stuff, he needs to stop saying existential threat. It's effectively a lie, nobody votes on it and he's been called on it before. Only Yang has any clue how to talk about the environment.

That's the party, but is it really primary voters? The case for this is not clear to me. In open primary states Rs would vote for a Dem who emphasized border control. Would D *voters* abstain over a continuation/improvement of Obama policy? And risk M4A?
