You have to be in a place where people have no reason to believe you want genocide. The modern left, despite protestations to the contrary, is not one of those places.
You don't get to mutter under your breath about "overpopulation" and turn around and joke openly about committing a genocide because people will rightly question whether the distinction between *wanting* and *expecting* a genocide is all that different.
