The good news is we don't actually have to go back to the stone age or call the last 50 years a wash, the bad news is conservatives and liberals both agree that's what should happen (though the libs will never admit it)
Yeah, here's the thing: we've been trying frantically to draw that line between socially liberal and radically liberal for something like ten years now. It's a completely smooth gradient, there's no break to exploit.
