      When you think about it, aclu and splc going woke makes perfect sense. Wokeness is a liberal, bourgeoise ideology. They served a function historically when particular groups were de jure excluded from the liberal state. Now that it's decaying they help protect it from dissent.

          SPLC was a woke thought leader as far back as gamergate, which nobody wants to acknowledge as the opening salvo of respectable ultrawokeness (prior aesthetic commitments, ie they buy into the foundational premise but disavow the excesses)
