I was a huge fan during the 08 primaries, which I maintain was the right call in that context. That Obama was gone by mid 09 though. I never thought he was particularly radical but in that context there was only one Dem president separating him from Carter.

My turning point was when he picked Hillary for secstate. The entire point of the exercise had been to try to keep her away from those levers! Al Digiorno, at the time a prominent Obama blogger, was crestfallen.
