I was a huge fan during the 08 primaries, which I maintain was the right call in that context. That Obama was gone by mid 09 though. I never thought he was particularly radical but in that context there was only one Dem president separating him from Carter.
The idea that you could get back to a moderate social democratic program just by kicking out the Clintons themselves didn't seem so crazy at the time, basically.
