Everyone in the DSA is trying to do this with one or another named ideological line. It's not really how this works. The best current hope runs the other direction - getting the DSA in position to get into a positive dialectic with the class through the Sanders campaign.

The organization I'm imagining here is nothing like the DSA now, so it's hard to say. Ideally you could use it to source candidates for office and set up a coalition for electoral reform that would let you set up a relevant party.
