I wish there were left candidates who talked about America the way Yang does. He's empathetic, pragmatic, has no time for moralism and is probably more right about automation than the left gives him credit for
It's true that trucks are unlikely to be properly automated due to the difficulty of setting up the AI but expanding freight rail would have the same effect once the tracks are laid, and apps and self checkout are teaching people to quickly learn POS systems
