I get why they might think this is the ticket in the primary, but I would beg them to reverse course on this. I don't know how 'open' the average primary is but the goal should be to completely swamp polling places with guys who drink Monster Zero and women who love Harley Quinn

The main reason they think that is because they themselves come from the same background and share the same ideas as the voters they are trying to court.
