Because it means you can't blame AOC without also blaming Sanders. And I'm pretty sure I'm correct about what happened. These things aren't spur of the moment.

Ofc it was about the endorsement. Plans changed because Warren was gaining too much. Sanders himself uttered his first criticism of Warren like a week ago. He and his team ignored the danger until Warren passed him in the polls.

Republicans have introduced legislation for affirmative freedom of speech on social media. It wouldn't be a liability for Sanders to sign on, provided the bill is nonpartisan - except among the most despised hundred thousand or so people in the country.
