Yeah I agree with that, my interpretation of Adorno’s critique of jazz is that he didn’t like jazz because he thought it was secretly bourgeois but masquerading as proletariat

It has long been noted that Adorno formed his critique of jazz in late Weimar R as it went from dance music to marching music. Later, he generalized its mimetic aesthetics of the sounds of capitalist production as volunteer “slave morality” consolation under bourgeois rule.
