You can't build a revolution around demands for more poverty. You can plot a coup, at best, and not a popular one. Growth per se is not the same thing as the growth imperative.

Imagine how nice life would be if we all had AC, fridges, net-connected computers, free education, effective mass transit and we worked fewer hours. Would take a significant amount of extraction to get there, but it would be a better world, and it's one that capital can't make.
