      Not gonna link to recordings of Lenny Bruce here, but let's just say the idea that were he alive today he wouldn't despise and be despised by the people who definitely would be doing their utmost to shut him down is preposterous.

      It's to run interference on behalf of the cancelers by ridiculing people who dislike people who don't just criticize but act in coordinated fashion to establish restrictive new norms held by virtually no one else as determinative of your reception and access to resources.
