Honestly... if China lifting over a BILLION people out of poverty isn’t socialist to some of y’all I really don’t know what your definitions of socialism and capitalism even are.

The deeper contradiction is that PSL's insistence on anti imperialism as fundamental front-line politics is irreconcilable with China having any agency in the first place
If you want the NATO-US world order to unilaterally retreat and disarm you need a strong line against the possibility of someone else stepping in to fill the void and continuing business as usual. Really the only option is global north exceptionalism - China has to be red.
