Look, we're all out here trying to manage our personas and reputations. Nobody is "innocent" of this, online or off. Even if it's not strictly life or death to manage, even if the damage isn't permanent, reputations take a lifetime to create.

Having an entire culture lock you out for funsies doesn't help anything, and nobody really thinks it does. But it's impossible to call a ceasefire and it takes a shockingly small network to tap into the federated consensus
