He thinks "psychological trauma" is a disciplinary practice that does people good? He makes a strong case for exactly why it *doesn't do anyone any good*.
Why the fuck do people still pretend to believe bullying is about anything other than causing pain for status? Nobody ever became normal because of bullying, only in spite of it.

For what it's worth, I think he had it completely right. It's useless and destructive and he loves it. Correct on all counts.

I think the people involved with cancel culture have been so used to being bullied, and so used to punching up, that they may not have noticed they have enough power and status now to be punching down

And yeah, bullying is one of the ugliest aspects of human nature - but it’s not only coming from cancel culture - it comes from the right, too - it takes a lot of different forms - and racism, sexism etc. are sometimes bullying we get to used to it goes unrecognized as bullying
