me in 2014: i think it's kind of unfortunate that genre films get marginalized by "serious" critics me now: we must destroy every "comic book" movie and every "art horror" movie

seriously though is there anything recent in that classic 70s horror vein where it reins in the obvious allegories and just goes for pure nightmare logic and aesthetics
