      The thing that really infuriates the Western liberal elite about China is that it successfully reformed. It reformed not through another revolution or elections, but by people at the top deciding to reform for the good of the country. That exposes the liberal project as a lie.

      If China doesn’t fail, the whole world will know that the liberal project is a lie. Not only can you become wealthy without liberalism, but reform is a top-down process, not the product of ‘the people’ turning themselves into a self-hating instrument of Western liberal interests.
