Did they have the ASL thing two years ago? Because that seems to have been genuinely divise, even among some of the woke. People seem self-aware of how firing the main boiler and going full steam ahead is just so obviously unsustainable.

I get some real Zizek vibes off of the DSA convention, a la "does the chicken know?". The real trauma here for a lot of people on r/chapo and so on seems to be the death of the Big Other in regard to leftism - now suddenly everybody knows just what a clusterfuck it is.

Like it was one thing when people could quietly say "the left is a joke" among themselves, as if sharing some sort of inside info. Now the whole world knows that yes, it is indeed a joke, and people just don't know how to handle the implications. It's really funny.
