Like, as leftists, crime is a touchy subject, especially the types that we can't immediately link to poverty. Interpersonal/domestic violence is always case-by-case and there are rarely witnesses. On the other hand, everyone on Twitter has now seen the demand for no clapping.

You're a union man. What would your local do if you asked them not to clap? Not to use "gendered language"? Including "comrade"? If you made it clear it was you or them on this issue, who would they pick?
