      They don't have to do that anymore since they started taking casualties. When was the last ground engagement and how long did it last?

      I guess if you count air strikes as combat, I would agree that it is more frightening to go to Israeli prison than "fight" Hamas. Israel doesn't tolerate combat casualties because they threaten morale, which creates a whole boatload of internal tensions re the conscripted army.

      This? Looks like a lone wolf attack - impossible to tell if the guy even hit the soldiers or if the two squads they sent got each other.       You know these guys are enforcing an illegal seige on the most densely packed civilian population on Earth, right? I'm sure it sucks to get shot. Probably better than being starved along with your entire family and used as targets for weapons experiments/advertisement.
