The housing shortage is due to asset speculation rather than supply, crime only creates jobs in corrections, and pollution is a result of work being done. There's maintenance work to do and rail to build but i don't think there's really so much beyond that.

With reasonable public transit, taxis of all kinds would take a hit in proportion to the success of the program. Expansion of freight and passenger rail eats into trucking companies and airlines, a lateral move at best. That's before point of sale systems are automayed further

What actually needs to happen is a reduction of working time, but the system arranges itself such that as few workers as possible can pass up hours.
