Mark my words this has got to be some sort of money laundering scheme. It’s just a fucking steel rabbit. The whole art industry is truly bizarre, and the fact that it exists while people starve is disgusting.

What you typically find is that high bidders already own large collections of the same artist. The value of the rest of the pieces goes up to compensate the loss from the purchase.
