I don't think it makes sense to talk about "the West" in this context unless you're already excluding the US. Attitudes in Europe, Latin America and even Canada reflect a general consensus which America, and in particular Congress, emphatically rejects.

Two-state might be something politicians here pay lip service to on a campaign website, but they're the ones who are refusing negotiations by defending Israel's ability to settle, ethnically cleanse and create reservations. Actual two-state is unimaginably radical to them.
