Hi Jack - Viewers will always see videos of channels they are subscribed to in the subs feed. In this video, we were referring to notifications which not all viewers wanted to receive. We added the bell to give viewers a choice. More here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4 Hope that helps!

I feel like the bell should be opt out of notifications though, rather than opt in after they hit subscribe. Makes more sense that way in my opinion. Thanks for the reply.

The product is beyond a damaged state. Bring YT back to its core before bloated and complicated layers were added.

I don't get it. When a person subscribes to a channel it's because they want to view that creators content and want to be notified...its not up to YouTube to decide what they want to watch..plus you can literally turn your notifications off people and customize each channels...pic.twitter.com/MEY6ib2QEk

According to
@YouTube it is up to them to decide what you should watch, see their recent censorship for examples. They know better than you what you should watch... as long as the content fits their sensibilities it's good, otherwise it gets deleted. Slippery slope anyone?

This is only for notifications, not the Subscriptions page, right? I'm subbed to lots of channels, I'd hate to get a notification for literally every video.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
