We just decided to share our internal safety work streams & shipping calendar tomorrow (10/19). This makes us feel uncomfortable because it’s a work in progress & rough, but it’s the right thing to do: we believe showing our thinking and work in real-time will help build trust.

Jack, as someone who has received a LOT of abuse on Twitter, this is what worries me. It requires trusting the reporting process.
-
2/ Your reporting outcomes are very uneven - I can report the same behavior one day and it's acted on. The next day it's not.
-
3/ Unless you are investing more in personnel and training staff in subjects they may not understand, this isn't going to solve it.

As a daily requirement to use the app? Maybe you don't understand the scale of the abuse some people get.

So if you have to block 50-100 people, are you going to click the times times it takes for each one? That's at least 150 taps/clicks.

Encouraging. Please consider that a lot of harassment is happening via bots. Bots should be identifiable w/ an option to not see bots.
-
The only viable use for bots is customer service. Chatbots on most websites identify themselves as such. Bots don’t read ads.

I'm still missing language on: - Reporting new accounts from banned users (a tactic massively abused by harassers, but not reportable) (1/3)
-
- Reporting accounts dedicated to harassing multiple users (report will neither be picked up as spam or bullying an individual (2/3)
-
- Actual action against accounts spreading hatespeech/racistpropaganda/fakearticles intended to harass individuals (reports go ignored)(3/3)
