I'd still like to know how Trump ended up with more than 14 million followers on his first day with the account.

Hi. I'm Trump's intern who tweets on his behalf. I've only gone and forgotten the new password. Any chance you could drop it here. xxx

Any word on that apology for empowering his rise in the first place?
-
Ridiculous. You don't blame a tree for the words printed on it. People empower a rise, not platforms.
-
Entities that have global scale should consider the impact of the common complaints around the election, progaganda, harassment, etc.
-
Would you expect Twitter to apologize for her rise had she won? Or the millions of other events that trigger things on your list? Obvious no
-
Twitter can't claim to be fundamental in the Arab spring, then deny its effectiveness in the latest elections.
-
It was effective. Why do they need to apologize? Because you lost and feel betrayed by the power of the platform swinging the other way?
-
Because bots, harassment, false news empowered online groups to have an impact on the election and system in a way many feel is detrimental
-
Those are constants on Twitter, though. The election just gave them a light because only the winning side employed them to great effect.
