Hi @jack. So far, you have only been willing to speak with extreme right-wing figures and seth rich murder truthers (Hannity).
Media Matters is the nation’s leading media watchdog. We have extensive expertise here. This is a formal invitation and interview request.

All due respect to Media Matters which does awesome work, but it's a nonprofit with a mission. Why not speak to legitimate news outlets like NBC News?
@jolingkent and@oneunderscore__ say they've been trying to get you to commit to this for years. -
Are they mutually exclusive? Couldn't he do...both? May I offer a friendly amendment to your tweet? Speak with Media Matters and speak with a news outlet?
-
For example, Media Matters was uniquely able to illustrate with actual data that recent cries of Facebook censoring right-wing content were entirely baseless, demonstrably untrue and part of a larger game the refs strategy. e.g.:https://www.mediamatters.org/research/2018/07/16/study-analysis-top-facebook-pages-covering-american-political-news/220671 …

Real talk: I just think it's far more important that Jack speaks w/ news outlets. Preference he's showing for partisan operations feels like hiding/cheating to me. It's not a good sign. I say that both as a fellow progressive and a fan of much of MMFA's work.
-
Hear what you're saying. Not disagreeing. But, we're talking about different things. I'm looking at this from a valuable resource perspective and countermeasures. That's like saying it's more important for a company to speak to a reporter over you. It can and should be both.
-
I would def not suggest that a company that you're pushing should ignore you and instead speak to reporters. I'd say, do both....because both provide and do different things and both are sorely needed. I think we agree here. Both communication channels are needed and doable.
-
And my real talk would be: if it really was an either/or. I'd still say they should talk to mmfa or someone else that has the vantage point and data we have. Because getting and engaging with that will do a lot to improve info ecosystem.

So you had weeks to realize how you should never give Hannity an interview and still did it. You truly arepic.twitter.com/eZmlukcWFB

Why not schedule an interview with an actual journalist weeks ago?

Why not do NBC Nightly? They’ve been asking for YEARS. Hannity is a bad look.https://twitter.com/oneunderscore__/status/1027276401920143361?s=21 …

That's good to hear, thanks! But making Hannity the first stop is some bad optics
-
No it's not. Hannity represents conservatives and they are the people being silenced and shadow banned. I think it was smart to go with a right leaning "reporter" first.
-
No, they are the ones whining about it. That's what conservatives do, constant complain about being a victim.

Screw Hannity and you for going on there and giving him an ounce of credibility. I'm done with this place for a while...
