.@jack, please don’t blame the current state of play on communications. These decisions aren’t easy, but they aren’t comms calls and it’s unhelpful to denigrate your colleagues whose credibility will help explain them 1/4https://twitter.com/jack/status/1026984245925793792 …

@jack, TY for clarification. I do trust in good intentions of teammates (a Twitter value that I’ve carried on). And TY for engaging here. But my opinion is also rooted in my respect for/understanding of Twitter’s policies/goals, & I still hope you revisit this#lovewhereyouworked -
This is so interesting *tip-toeing into the thread*! — “Truth is we’ve been terrible at explaining our decisions in the past.” I can see how one would interpret the statement as a “Comms thing” - but I saw it differently. Much pressure is placed on Comms to explain.
-
However, Comms needs solid inputs to translate into accessible, helpful info. I thought
@Jack was saying we need to do a better job of providing sound inputs. - End of conversation

How is attacking victims of school shootings not violating the terms of service? Calling for violence against politicians? This should’ve been an easy decision for you and instead, the whole country is appalled by your decision.
-
This is the only question he need to answer: How is attacking victims of school shootings not violating the terms of service? I've been placed in twitter jail for less, much less

Been using Twitter since 2010 Jack and have to say I'm beyond disappointed at this point. This was a great platform that connected vast swaths of humanity and it's just sad you've let it devolve into a tool of harassment.
-
Have you tried muting words you don't like? Rather than push your eagerness to silence others try using the tools Twitter gives you.

Jack you’ve been great during this episode. You’ve shown the world that independent of your opinions you are following you principles.
-
Lol. Since when is not having a backbone... Principles.
-
Free Speech is a necessary principle of a free society.
-
Free speech should not include hate speech.
-
Right, and I suppose you would define what hate speech is.
-
You don't understand how "free speech" works in America. Nobody is taking away Alex Jones' free speech.

How about some communication on how
@OccupyWallStNYC still has an active account after openly and brazenly calling for the murder of#ICE agents?http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/06/20/occupy-wall-street-promoting-killing-ice-agents-in-gory-step-by-step-cartoon.html … -
I don't want
@jack silencing anyone. -
I don’t either, but
@Twitter takes action against accounts that it deems “unhealthy”. I’m curious to hear why@OccupyWallStNYC is not deemed “unhealthy” when they openly advocate for murdering innocent people. -
I understand. Jack is no fan of freedom of speech. I don't want to be like him.
-
Pointing out his hypocrisy and askimg for an explanation is not “being like
@jack”. Quite the opposite, in fact. - End of conversation
