This is a bizarre and incredibly disingenuous statement from @Twitter. What's the point of following someone if Twitter blocks their tweets from appearing in your time-line? Maybe that's not technically "shadow-banning" but it's heavy-handed manipulation https://blog.twitter.com/official/en_us/topics/company/2018/Setting-the-record-straight-on-shadow-banning.html …pic.twitter.com/QzyJSajY5S

We don’t block who you follow on your timeline. We do rank the timeline, so you may not see them there if those tweets are not as relevant as others. You can also turn this ranking off.

Shouldn't it be *me* (not Twitter) who decides which tweets from people I follow are relevant to me? @kayvz ?

Is Twitter acting #Orwellian or #Kafkaesque? Should Twitter be absorbed by the #USA government or by the #UnitedNations as a new department/ agency?

Who are you to decide for people what is relevant & what isn’t? When we follow someone, we obviously feel what they have to say is relevant. You may not call it shadowbanning, but it’s definitely censorship simply because you don’t agree with the message.

What makes me “less relevant” @jack? Is it me being Hispanic? Jewish? That I married into a Syrian family? Is it my gender? My academic background? Where my parents were born? The lessons I have learned? The fact that I am a father of a boy and a girl? My small business?

Went in under Profile & Settings, then Account. There was an item that said "Show Best Tweets First" which was checked, though NEVER BY ME. I suspect Twitter implemented this and autochecked it, which is why I could not see others & many do not see me. Twitter picks best tweets.

YW Yes, it was getting worse. Hopefully, this helps us. Still curious about how they decide "the best tweets" to show us after they autocheck that box. smh I'm sure @jvgraz is right - few of those tweets are by the progressives many of us follow.

Just for good measure everyone should check their settings regularly to prevent this from being auto filled.

This is another lie. The quality filter is turned on by default. People have to not only know about it, but find it in the settings to turn it off. You people are despicable.
