Nezuko is Japanese. Hinata is Japanese. Ochako is Japanese. Non-Japanese people are free to cosplay Japanese characters. That's true in my country, Japan.

Said characters are Asian. Doesn’t mean Asian people are the only ones allowed to cosplay as Nezuko, Hinata, Ochako etc. But support Asian cosplayers too? : ) (Or not and I’m making an outrageous comment )

This movement is about black cosplayers being discriminated. There has never been an Asian person told that they are too dark or not canon to cosplay a character. This moment isn’t for you. Take a seat and support or don’t speak.

Race is an issue in everything . EH. Keep the same energy when ur brothers dads and kids are profiles and gunned down for their skin. Same energy when what ever kids god blessed u with come home crying because people made fun of them or called them a monkey. Go somewhere.

If the skin colour in the anime is white, then it looks objectively better if a white person cosplays the character. Same goes for black characters
