The pandemic is projected to peak & reduce in downstate & increase in upstate, says @RichAzzopardi. “It is essential that we all help each other & the Gov is asking upstate hospitals to loan 20% of their unused ventilators to struggling downstate hospitals."

Upstate. Includes Albany Schenectady Niskayuna and Troy. You know, big hospitals that can give, and will get back when their wave hits

I’m curious to know what the reality is that those ventilators would be sought. For e-town taking one would be 50%, over the 20% threshold announced. In SL, just one could be given up to stay within that threshold. What are those hospitals saying about this?

It's 20% of the unused ventilators. He's only asking for a 5th of the surplus. Entirely reasonable.

If you have 2 it is impossible to give 20%.

Accurate. But most probably are coming from Albany and Schenectady. He probably won't even touch Elizabethtown
-
Albany hospitals are currently taking patients from NYC.
