So, should you use this? Or the native fs.mkdir() with {recursive: true}? Or make-dir? Or the legacy mkdirp 0.x? Here's a helpful guide:https://www.npmjs.com/package/mkdirp#choosing-a-recursive-mkdir-implementation …

This is a little bit hilarious to me: * 3e68692 isaacs docs for new version (32 minutes ago) * f2003bb Myles Borins test: add v4 and v5 to travis (4 years ago) Last time this thing drew breath, Node.js's active release version number was less than half what it is now.

mkdirp began life in a gist 9 years ago.
@substack slapped a package.json file on it, and published it. Back then, `fs.exists()` was called `path.exists()`. I banged on it a lot, using it early in npm's life, and the two grew up together, then got old and decrepit together.Prikaži ovu nit -
And now they're being reborn anew together. It's a beautiful thing, really.

Thing about mkdirp is, there's a good chance it won't see another update for 4 years. The only reason to update it is when the context changes around it. It's just one of those modules that are like a nail, holding things together. But unlike a nail, it doesn't even rust.

The implementation is so old, and so simple, and so battle-tested that it managed to just keep on keeping on, even though it was never updated to really work properly on Windows, didn't know about Promises, etc.
