    This is great! It's wonderful to see that progressive lawmakers are beginning to understand the positive applications of the kind of technology that's being developed in the crypto space.

    "Public venmo" does not capture all the novel things about this proposal. It looks like the plan includes a p2p local currency, with additional "care points" to compensate volunteer work.
