The US is an open-air jailhouse of oppressed nations- that fact has been exploited by the ruling class since inception. The alliance particularly between white workers and the PB with the ruling class is as fundamental as anything in its political structure.

If you go back to the writings of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Fidel, HCM, Kim Il Sung, etc. you find a focus on understanding the present alignment of class forces, who are our enemies/friends, how to approach alliances and coalitions, etc. We don't think about this enough today.

And it's not to say that their situations were easier (far from it) but in the US the sheer multitude of internal class divisions on both sides is remarkable, the complexity of the adversary is very high and the tactical and strategic issues are very delicate.
