We also missed our trail & had to hike through rough shrubs on unforgiving rocks to get back on track. I nearly lost it at this point!
Thankfully, the hike becomes easier and enjoyable after the first peak. I particularly enjoyed the moorland to the summit! #Hiking #Aberdares

I hiked & conquered one of the toughest trails in the Aberdares! The Rurimeria trail has a series of four ridges, the first being the steepest and the hardest as you gain altitude. It's 3,860 m (12,670 ft) above sea level. It's the 3rd-highest hill of the Aberdares.
