lastly, we also often remark, IVPN is not the best VPN for everyone, but certainly one of the best choices if your goal is protecting your privacy from your ISP and websites you visit. if you chose another service, you are not necessarily wrong - but choose wisely.

if someone is telling you their favorite VPN is great for privacy, and you want to vet their claims, go through the checklist above. only a handful of VPN services on the market tick all of these boxes, not more - among hundreds of providers.

you can also review what the VPN service promises to customers. perfect privacy, anonymity etc. these are misleading terms for SEO and conversion optimisation. they either don't exist or are not attainable by simply using a VPN. promising them leads to false sense of security.

further, privacy-first VPNs offer payment methods that are better for privacy. PayPal and credit card payments are linked to your detailed personal profile, and can expose you as a VPN user. Cash, Monero, Bitcoin Lightning offer better privacy.

third, not collecting personally identifiable information via their apps. your VPN should be aiming for zero information, not use every opportunity to build a profile of you for marketing purposes. Use the app stores and Exodus to check this. LeadingVPN™ vs. IVPN below (iOS).

you can separate VPN services that are run by activists and take your privacy seriously, and those who use privacy as a pretext to sell more subscriptions. not straightforward, but doable, just look for a few clear signals.

We are experiencing intermittent issues with AntiTracker Hardcore mode - in some cases, Facebook and Google domains/IPs are not blocked. We are investigating the problem, and update this thread after the fix is out. Regular AntiTracker operation and VPN service are unaffected.

The warrant canary contains a cryptographically signed message to signal: no warrants have been served to IVPN employees, no searches or seizures have taken place, and IVPN has no direct or indirect knowledge of any backdoors.

A friendly reminder to our customers in or near Hong Kong: our HK1 server is shutting down next Monday (28 Nov). Please switch over to HK2 or HK3 as soon as possible to avoid service disruption. ivpn.net/status/
