THAT part. What I find that Jay struggles with now, as supposed to when he was in his prime, is that he is less humorous and sometimes the verses go too long but he can still write with the best of them.

Certain elements can def change over time, and likely will. I just find it interesting that people say “xyz is outrapping these new rappers” as if it’s a retired ball player vs a ball player in their prime

I think they usually point to extreme examples like Eminem who get into a routine and eventually end up becoming a caricature of themselves
