They need to be investigated and proceedings started against the senior officer in charge - totally unacceptable and demeans the uniform.

I agree, the marksmanship is awful.
-
They're usually shooting at unarmed teenagers so they were probably confused
-
You wouldn’t make it through a day of their training. Regardless of their duties they joined to serve and protect the country and its allies, show some respect.
-
Respect shown where respect is due. British army doesn't fall into that category.
-
Your bio explains everything.
-
that's kinda the point of a bio -
You wouldn’t have the freedom of a bio without the soldiers who protect and serve

Do these Soldiers not realise that the Current Government in Power are the ones who will turn their back on them and see them Homeless and Destitute when they actually leave the Army.

-
Indeed . My friend Gary is a example he fought in Iraq only to come back and to turn into a homeless and alcoholic living as a trump in the streets and in the end he committed suicide dying alone . He got no help or support from the government in which he served so proudly

-
Absolute Shocking.

-
I know and it is . I still miss him . In the end he had nobody to help him . I tried but in vain . He needed professional help but that never materialised and he gave up alone and homeless

They got away with 10 murders in Ballymurphy (August 1971) and 14 murders in Derry Bloody Sunday (January 1972). So this should be no problem.
-
They probably weren't alive back then
-
Not exactly the point! Is it?
-
Well it kind of is. The OP said those guys got away with 10 murders in 1971. So I was just letting him know most of them wouldn't have been alive back then.
-
he means the army in general and the paras in particular. Not these actual soldiers.
-
Hence why it was a moronic comment.
-
The point is that the mentality has not changed and is endemic in the british armed forces. There are many communities all over the world who have had to deal with their particular brand of 'policing'. The only morons are those soldiers and those who defend their vile actions.
-
Thanks for explaining. My mum is Irish and told me some of the xenophobic things she got told in the 1980's when she moved to Oldham. So understand how difficult it must have been. Took the OP's comment too literally and thought he was inferring these actual soldiers were guilty.
