It is truly shocking that this country managed to make it through (sort-of) Trump’s years in office.

“Why can’t you be like the German generals?” Donald Trump asked John Kelly, who was his White House chief of staff at the time, according to a new book. It depicts Trump as deeply frustrated by top military officials, whom he saw as insufficiently loyal. nyti.ms/3p3UMVY
The headline reads, "Trump Asked Aide Why His Generals Couldn't Be Like Hitler's, Book Says." The text reads, "Years before Jan. 6, the former president told John Kelly, his chief of staff, that he wanted generals who were "totally loyal." Kelly told Trump that Germany's generals "tried to kill Hitler three times and almost pulled it off."

Democrats passed a law that will lower the cost of energy, health care, and prescription drugs. Republicans voted against it to protect drug companies, oil companies, rich people who cheat on their taxes, and big corporations that don’t pay any. That’s the choice.

There's no question in my mind that the moment Buck took the job, he recognized that Lindor - the best all-around player on the team - would be essential in changing the culture. If Lindor would buy in - to team, to a common goal, to legacy, to leadership - everyone would follow.

I’ve been noticing of late how much of a leader Lindor has been this season - talking with other players, giving advice on the field and even his postgame interviews are measured and enlightened. It’s such a difference from the guy he was last year: Baez’s partner in shenanigans.
