Well...this sure took off. Thanks to everyone who got involved! Some stellar and varied choices. I'm now curious to see what the final nominees would be from everyone's votes, so give me some time to tabulate them all.

Alphabetically: BlacKkKlansman, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Favourite, First Man, Hereditary. Paddington 2 is my favourite out of all the eligible films but seeing as no campaign was mounted, I've gotta drop it (although Hugh Grant would still get a nom!)

That's what always intrigues me - if members vote for what they really love or just what they think has a chance to be nominated so their vote isn't somewhat wasted.

Well, it's 9 to 10 now. But, old school style? Based on what actually has Oscar chances? Roma, The Favourite, A Star is Born, BlackKklansman, Vice.
-
There can be up to 10 nominees but voters still only get to pick five...which is ridiculous.

Not having seen The Favourite and If Beale Street Could Talk, I'd say: 1. Hereditary 2. Roma 3. Private Life 4. The Rider 5. BlackKklansman

In alphabetical order - Can you ever forgive me? Chappaquiddick Disobedience Favourite, The Jusqu'à la garde (Custody) As you can see, my list is highly unrealistic!
-
Sigh. If only more Academy members were brave enough to go with their heart and not what campaign ads and precursor awards are telling them to do.
