I also don't like the way that some people are tempted to sugar-coat incels as sympathetic depressives; that's not fair to decent, genuinely mentally ill folks

here's the thing: there are good people who struggle with forming social/romantic/sexual connections, without EVER going down the path of resentment and hatred that incels do. it's tremendously unfair to conflate them

it's simultaneously important to: -avoid demonizing depression and social anxiety in the process of mocking these guys -avoid letting one's sympathy for depressives lead to excusing incels' malicious bigotry
