I don't like getting political on here. I just want to talk about video games. It's Christmas for christ sake. However, just lately, it's becoming harder and harder to sit back and listen to older generations harping on about "getting their country back".
Except I'm young enough to have never had a blue passport, nor did I feel like not having one was a detriment to my independence or my rights as a Brit. I'm not getting anything "back". Instead, I'm living in a country that is still run by folks with heads firmly up their arses.https://twitter.com/tnewtondunn/status/943967747293286400 …

Fuck what I think though, right? I'm a millennial, so my opinion doesn't matter, right? Wrong. One day it will, and when it does, I have faith in my generation to do the right thing.

I want friends I work with who aren't from the UK to not panic about their employment prospects because half the country voted they don't have enough of a right to be here. I want to feel part of a wider community. Britain's history is founded from multiculturalism for fucks sake

The world is falling apart more and more every day and yet it seems that the number one priority on a lot of people's minds is whether or not their government (who most condemn on a daily basis) can pass a bill without say so from non-british entities. I'm at my wit's end.

Also, the sort of mindset I'm clashing with isn't exclusive to older generations. I've called plenty of 20 year olds out on their bullshit about it too. Just want to make it abundantly clear it's the ideology I'm picking fault with, NOT the older generation.
