I always reflect on the past year on my birthday. My god what a mixed bag the past 12 months have been...

12 months ago I'd just left university and I was working in a tool shop, fiddling away on a project in my spare time with a few uni friends.

One of us had already been offered a job somewhere so we knew it wasn't a permanent project for us to be working on, but still we never quit

But either way, we kept plodding on with it for portfolio pieces and what not, and eventually I landed my job at Sumo. Best news I ever got!

Then, in the same month as me landing the job, my dad took ill and it was rough in the run up to Christmas.

It was tough, and we eventually found out it was Cancer. I kept it quiet for the most part because I'm not one to post about personal stuff

The guy kicked it's arse, and in February he had an operation to have the bugger removed, and now he's never looked healthier.
