Last night’s Valheim session saw me and the missus find 6 Sunken Crypts in close proximity, enough Iron Scraps for the six of us who play together to have two full stacks each, the Bonemass location runestone, AND Haldor all on the same island. The dopamine hit was real.
This came after 3 full play sessions of our group splitting up and sailing to different regions of the map, only to find islands filled with Plains or Mountains, dying to Deathsquitos whilst sailing off-shore, and - in my case - my boat shattering itself on a wave mid-ocean.
What’s crazy, though, is how these are just a few scenarios I can recall from our time with Valheim so far. The way this game is built allows for “player stories” in abundance. That is true in so many regards from the way the world looks to how the various systems interact.
