My degree didn’t get me my first job in games, but it did springboard me into a world I was new to and allowed me to learn and grow. It also motivated me to make my own projects with other folk on the side, which DID go a long way towards me landing my internship.
We need to stop putting out bold, unsolicited, and often non-constructive claims on the internet. Tweets like the original could dash the ambition and hopes of those who wish to pursue this type of career, often for no purpose other than to share an opinion.
