The original post of this video had a spelling error and it pained me to see, so I deleted it.
Anyway, we have animations on the swingy-swing! They look a little goofy but I'll tweak them eventually.

I love your system, That the Game Looks for an object above the player it's facing to hook. Now i'd love to see that more in play, test it, Come in from the left...From the right, Don't swing back quickly, Stop in place...So many ways :)

Thank you! Yeah I wanted to try and make it very flexible and offer a lot of movement options with a single swing as that'd make for some interesting level design. I still need to work on tweaking the motion of the swing but it's fully player driven so it has lots of options!

The little boost you get when you detach is fully physics based as well so your momentum of the swing is really important when letting go, as is timing *when* you let go if you want to gain the extra distance etc.
