Today is #WorldCancerDay , and it's exactly 1 week since I lost my Nan to that god awful disease. She was a remarkable woman, with a heart of gold and loved nothing more than her family. I'll miss her greatly, and I'll do my best to make her proud.
Also, I'm grateful today for still having my Dad around, who battled and beat cancer a couple of years ago. People are doing great work to prevent this disease, and I pray that one day we find a solution that will prevent the pain I've witnessed my loved ones endure.
