I can't stop thinking about God Of War. I've never known a game progress in such a concise way whilst maintaining the sense of freedom in the same way before.

The way the narrative is delivered is brilliant, too. Atreus asking Kratos questions about their journey is reflective of the player's intrigue, and the way that he responds is not only true to character but punchy and void of jargon.

Basically, the game is bloody brilliant and I'm loving every second of it.

But. The best part of it all is mimir sharing stories and coming out with one liners to add comedy to intense situations.

Absolutely. Mimir fills the "wise old man" archetype perfectly, whilst adding that comedic relief perfectly. Plus he's got a Scottish accent which is just perfectly fitting for the kind of environments in this game haha!
