Honestly Iowa should be the very last state to vote from now on.

McCarthy could be anyone in this cartoon... anyone other than the one standing up. 🤨

Imagine if Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch had implemented this policy during or after the Clinton email investigation. I’m not saying that the Department isn’t well-intended, but I don’t think this is the solution they think it is.

Question for the GOP: Does starting a business with a 60 million dollar loan from your dad count as “bootstrapping?” Does getting a $2 trillion dollar corporate handout from the GOP count as “bootstrapping?” Asking for a corrupt president & his friends.

I’ve now had a chance to see bits of and skim through Trump’s East Room speech. Appalling. But what of all those people—members of Congress, Cabinet officials—who clapped and laughed and cheered? What of Trump’s willing accomplices?

My dude, you are so triggered by her upstaging your man who alternatively eats, shreds, and hides papers comprising presidential records that you are handing her the narrative! PS That speech destroyed itself.

The House proved overwhelmingly that the President abused his power. Now the verdict is in: One Republican Senator had the courage to do impartial justice. To put country over party. And vindicate the Founders’ faith in self-governance. And show us, Right still matters.

“His lonely stand is a reminder of Frederick Douglass’s remark that ‘One and God make a majority.’ By standing alone, Romney reminded us that the embers of principle and political courage are not, after all, wholly extinct. And that’s not nothing.”

In a cynical age all it takes is one person, just one to show it is possible to be honorable, to do the right thing and to live up to our ideals.

I direct my final message of this trial to the American people: Don't lose hope. There is justice in the world, and truth, and right. There have been dark periods in our history, but we always overcome.

As Republicans, we have a unique responsibility to prevent an administration that bears our name from trampling on the rule of law. The Senate has failed to act. We have our chance on November 3. We’re starting to organize right now. Join us here:

With Doug Jones and Joe Manchin voting to convict, Trump will *not* get a bipartisan vote to acquit. But with Mitt Romney voting to convict, he *will* get a bipartisan vote to convict.

You know what Mitt just said on the Senate floor? It’s what his Republican colleagues say at night when the cameras are turned off. I’m looking at you, Lindsey.

Romney will become the first US Senator in American history to vote to remove a president of his own party.

So there’s no room for conscience and impartial justice in the Republican caucus. Got it.

The upside is that he did the right thing, for the right reason. That should be enough.

Having proven Trump guilty, I asked if there was just one Republican Senator who would say “enough” Who would stand up against this dangerously immoral president Who would display moral courage Who would do impartial justice as their oath required and convict And there is.
